Third part of our meeting with Latin American bloggers. Today we give speech to Francisco Rivera, president of the association Salvadoreños en el Mundo (Salvadorans in the World). Many thanks to him, for his sensitiveness and for the time he dedicated to answer me, and many thanks to the team of Salvadoreños en el Mundo. Couldn’t we send Cristiano Ronaldo to El Salvador ?

El Salvador has been hit by hurricane Ida. More than 130 people have been killed, thousands of bridges and roads have been destroyed, houses must be built again and 10.000 people would need an emergency food supply… Experts evaluate the cost of reconstruction about 80 million dollars. It could seem not so much if we compare to other natural disasters like the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia.

I just watched the documentary La Vida loca, the movie that the Franco-Spanish journalist  Christian Poveda made before he was assassinated, on September 2^nd. And it is just a shock. Christian Poveda knew very well El Salvador, where he arrived during the civil war, in the 1980s.
